REQUEST FOR BIDS (GOODS)
INSTALLATION OF SOLAR INVERTER IN TARGETED SCHOOLS IN EKITI STATE.

1. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ekiti State Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment Project (EKITIAGILE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under contract for the Installation of Solar Inverter in Targeted Schools.

2. The Ekiti State Ministry of Education through the office of the Project Coordinator EKITI AGILE now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of the following:

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding using request of bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Projects Financing November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) available on www.worldbank.org/procure and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office of the Ekiti State Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment Project (EKITIAGILE) and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday, exclusive public holidays at address given below.

5. Qualification requirements include:

• Certificate of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
• Evidence of previous supply/installations of similar equipment in the range of bid price in the last 5 years
• Audited financial statement for the last 3 years to demonstrate the financial capability/soundness of the bidder
• Evidence of registration with professional organizations/license to sell ICT Equipment.
• Evidence of after installation services for six (6) Months
• Evidence of ability to train the schools on how to use the smartboards.
Margin of preference shall not be allowed.

Bidding document in English may purchase by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N50,000 only in a Bank draft/payment receipt in favor of Ekiti State Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project. The Bidding Documents could be collected at the address below on presentation of proof of payment.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00noon, Thursday 12th September 2024. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will not be opened. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidder’s designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 12:00noon, Thursday 12th September 2024. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Security of at least 2.5% of Bid Price.

8. Attention is drawn to the procurement regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
