Lighthouse University is owned by Gospel Light International Ministries (a.k.a. New Covenant Gospel Church) and was recently granted operational license by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The vision of Lighthouse University is to be hands-on institution providing technological and management solutions as well as a lighthouse of moral and spiritual development.

Applications are invited from suitably-qualified candidates for appointment to the following positions at Lighthouse University, Evbuobanosa, Edo State, Nigeria.
1. Registrar
2. Bursar
3. Librarian

1. Registrar
A. The Registrar shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative activities of the University except for financial matters which the Bursar shall be responsible.
B. The Registrar shall be the Secretary to Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation and shall be the custodian of the seal and other legal documents of the University.
C. The Registrar must possess a good University degree preferably in the Arts/Humanities/Education / Management Sciences with cognate experience and shall have basic computer skills with not less than fifteen years’ post-graduation experience. Membership of relevant professional bodies is a must. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.

2. Bursar
A. The Bursar of the University shall be the head of the Finance Department of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
B. The Bursar shall advise the Council, Vice-Chancellor, Committees, Deans, and other officers of the University on financial matters.
C. The Bursar must ensure the correct and timely preparation of financial statements and accounts of the University and their submission to the Vice-Chancellor, Council and Committees.
D. The Bursar must ensure the execution of the annual audits of the University’s accounts in an efficient and effective manner.
E. Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with specialized computer skills and shall possess professionally recognized accounting qualification; He must be a Chartered Accountant with at least fifteen (15) years cognate post-qualification experience. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.

3. University Librarian
The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the library services in the University and for any other matter relating to the library.
For a candidate to be eligible for the position of Librarian, he must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science and a professional qualification from the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria with specialized computer skills and with not less than ten years’ post-graduation experience. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.

4. Admission Officer
A. Must possess a good honour degree from a University.
B. Candidate must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT), compliant with at least ten years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.


5. Director of Health Services
Candidate must possess MBBS degree and registration with relevant professional bodies and at least ten (10) years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.


6. Director of Physical Planning and Works
The Director of Physical Planning and Works Department shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for works, services, and maintenance of the University facilities and implementation of the master plan.
A good honour degree from a University in Engineering with a minimum of ten years cognate experience is a must. The ideal candidate must be COREN registered. Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.

Professors - Candidates for the Professor role are required to have a PhD degree with a specialization in the relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification, full-time University teaching, and research experience is essential.
- Candidate must demonstrate academic leadership through publications, project design, execution and mentoring, and administrative roles.
- Candidates must have top-rate research records that meet internationally recognized standards.

Associate Professors (Readers)
- Candidates for the Associate Professor role must hold a PhD degree with a specialization in the relevant discipline.
- Candidate must have at least 12 years of post-qualification, full-time experience in University teaching, entrepreneurship, and research.
- Candidates need to demonstrate academic and administrative leadership through their publications, project design, execution, and mentoring.
- Other conditions are similar to the requirements for a Professor.

Senior Lecturers
- Candidates for the Senior Lecturer role must hold a PhD degree with a specialization in the relevant discipline.
- Candidate must have at least 9 years of post-qualification, full-time experience in University teaching, entrepreneurship, and research.

Lecturer I
- Candidates for the Lecturer I role must hold a PhD degree with a specialization in the relevant discipline.
- Candidate should have at least 3 years of post-qualification full-time experience in University teaching, entrepreneurship, and research as well as demonstrate evidence of scholarly publications.
- Master’s degree holder with tangible experience and publication record may be considered.

Lecturer II
- Candidates for the Lecturer II role must hold a PhD degree with a specialization in the relevant discipline.
- Fresh PhD holders will not be evaluated based on the publication criterion.
- Master’s degree holder with tangible experience and publication record may be considered.

Assistant Lecturers
- Candidates for the Assistant Lecturer role must have a Master’s degree from a reputable University in relevant discipline.
- A good publication record is an advantage.
